    Description

    Summary



    About the Position:

    • This position is located at either Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg, North Carolina) OR Fort More, GA, under the Directorate of the Savannah Construction Division.
    • This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
    • This is a open continuous announcement, an eligible list will be cleared every 30 days.


    Duties

    • Serve as the project engineer, responsible for the on-site engineering, contract administration and quality assurance of work.
    • Exercise surveillance over the work and activities of the prime contractor and subcontractors engaged in construction activities.
    • Reviews and approves contractor's construction schedules and quality control procedures.
    • Maintain liaison with and participates in discussions with using agency and contractor representatives on matters of safety, post regulations, coordination of utility outages, progress of work, with respect to work under construction.
