    MEP BIM Manager

    General Responsibilities

    The goal is to utilize the candidate's expertise to add value to our preconstruction services and to

    efficiently mitigate risk during construction through BIM/MEP coordination and management support.

    Priority will be given to high pay off / high risk activities.

    Preconstruction (prior to award)


    • Provide approach narratives for BIM/MEP coordination sections of RFP responses


    • Participate in presentations and potential project interviews


    • Manage and/or provide laser scanning as needed utilizing Leica BLK360


    • Provide 3D logistics modeling and preliminary models utilizing Autodesk AEC and other

    recommended programs (i.e. Lumion)


    • Demonstrate BIM skills and technological capabilities to clients

    Preconstruction (once awarded)


    • Work with precon team to review MEP estimates


    • Work with precon team to prepare preliminary phasing and coordination of MEP trades


    • Support estimators in MEP subcontractor procurement


    • Support estimators in MEP trade contractor scope development on c. 149A projects

    Construction


    • Prepare Revit models as needed for base coordination


    • Implement and manage the MEP coordination process to resolve all conflicts prior to start of

    installations utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.


    • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks Manage


    • Manage the MEP coordination process with subcontractors


    • Manage the MEP commissioning process


    • Provide support to Project Managers on an as needed basis and if required by contract:

    o Prior to installation, review shop drawings and submittals for compliance and

    completeness.

    o Participate in the cost review and change order process as it relates to the MEP trades.

    Assists the Project Manager as necessary in estimating change orders.

    o Provide scheduling input to the project team as it relates to the MEP trades.

    o Troubleshoot and assist in the resolution of field installation issues

    o Attend weekly meetings with owners, architects and subcontractors as needed. Chair

    additional meetings with the MEP subcontractors as necessary

    o Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of project with

    Engineer & Owner.

    • Develop BIM execution plan standards
