- Act as the substitute employee coordinator (Substitute Absence Management System) for the District.
- Act as the Live Scan fingerprinting operator for the District.
- Hiring of certificated substitute employees.
- Process human resources paperwork related to substitute employees such as but not limited to; prepare notice of reasonable insurance; maintenance of credentials; monitor performance and evaluations; and maintain personnel files.
- Answer telephone and give out approved information to school personnel and the public.
- Prepare and maintain confidential reports
- File correspondence, forms and notices.
- Maintain district volunteer database.
- Maintain district TB requirements and database.
- Prepare substitute and employee absence reports for school sites and payroll.
- Maintain district expiration records related to Bloodborne Pathogen and Child Mandated Reporter training requirements.
- Assist in reconciling fingerprinting transactions and monthly invoices.
- Provide training to all staff related to the District's Substitute Absence Management System.
- Act as the Human Resources Reception as required.
- Perform other duties as required.

JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, serves as Human Resources Clerk to the Human Resources Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
a. Required:
1. Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
2. Additional training in secretarial or business skills.
3. Two years of responsible clerical or secretarial work in a Human Resources or Business setting.
4. Knowledge of current office practices and procedures, including proper telephone techniques, spelling, punctuation and grammatical usage.
5. Ability to keyboard at a speed of 55 words per minute; operate general office machines such as calculator, photocopier, fax, computer, email; organize and execute work effectively and efficiently; prepare and compose letters, memoranda, and
reports; carry out assigned work with minimum of supervision; read, understand and interpret rules and written standards; perform basic mathematical calculations; establish and maintain cooperative relationships; act calmly and sensibly in stressful situations.
6. Valid California driver license.
7. Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
8. Must be eligible and able to attain a California Department of Justice Rolling Certification within 90 days of acceptance of employment.
b. Desirable:
1. Ability to communicate in Spanish.
2. Knowledge of word processing, online scheduling, spread sheet and telecommunications using computers, notebooks, and tablets
3. Knowledge of QSS/QCC, Google Apps, Frontline/Aesop/Substitute Absence Management System, Live Scan Software.
