    Description

    Job Description: The New Product Introduction (NPI) team is seeking a skilled professional for machining process development aimed at low to mid volume production parts.

    • Collaborate with NC programming and planning department to create a consistent production process, including setup instructions and in-process inspection requirements.
    • Conduct CNC machine prove out and maintenance of various parts on different equipment.
    • Analyze overall machining processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
    • Regularly assess CNC processes for quality and efficiency.
    • Aid in developing machining, inspection, and programming standards, including fixture design, process enhancement, and program template input.
    • Perform machine centerline calibration and troubleshooting tasks.
    • Coordinate with floor leads and process owners to address capacity limitations in production.
    • Contribute to the establishment of standardized programming and work holding methods.

    Required Qualifications / Experience and Technical Skills:

    • Minimum of 7 years' experience in precision horizontal and 5-axis CNC machining.
    • Familiarity with setup on Okuma Multus U3000 machines.
    • Proficiency in reading and editing G&M codes.
    • Strong grasp of GD&T, technical drawings interpretation, and specifications comprehension.
    • Competent in using various metrology tools for part inspection, with CMM experience being advantageous.
    • Experience with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma, and Siemens 840D controllers.
    • Ability to assess material machinability, tool holding, tool cutter presentation, and select suitable coolants for CNC manufacturing.
    • Non-technical skills like team-building, problem-solving, and effective written and verbal communication.
    • Knowledge of MasterCAM, Siemens NX, or Esprit is a bonus.
