Automation Engineer - Boston, United States - Bullseye Biosciences
1 week ago
Description
Embarking on a rewarding journey to tackle monumental challenges in human health. Company Description:
Bullseye Biosciences is at the vanguard of directed evolution, innovating on therapeutic discovery for critical targets in oncology, immunology, and metabolism. The "Archer" platform has been established from foundational work at our academic co-founder Dr Chory at Duke. We seek to deploy this technology against intracellular protein-protein interactions (PPIs) which are too large for small molecules and inaccessible to biologics. PPIs are extremely well validated drivers of human disease whose potential as drug targets remains a high unmet need.
Your expertise in automation will not just advance our research, but also contribute significantly to the development of life-changing treatments. Role Description:
Come join us as an Automation Engineer in building a new generation of drugs against historically challenging targets using our directed evolution discovery engine
This role will be instrumental enabling our directed evolution screening campaigns against challenging targets. The Archer screening platform and subsequent hit testing relies on careful design of reporter "gene circuits" with multiple inducible components for precise control of the system. The Automation Engineer would develop and implement methodologies on the platform operationalizing techniques from the founder's lab and pioneering new approaches to enable high throughput evolution screening.
The Automation Engineer would work with our biology scientists and our academic founder's lab to implement reporter circuits for screening campaigns. In addition, they would work with the teams to automate follow-up assays to accelerate program efforts for successful drug campaigns. As a member of a small start-up everyone makes major contributions to the direction and success of the company
Key Qualifications and responsibilities:
Joining Bullseye Biosciences means more than a job—it's a chance to own a piece of the innovation you help create, within an equitable and inclusive workplace that celebrates each milestone alongside you. What we offer:
If you are ready to make a tangible impact on the future of drug discovery and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we welcome you to apply and help shape the journey of Bullseye Biosciences
We are committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, age, gender, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental or sensory disability (including the use of a trained guide dog or service animal by a person with a disability), genetic information, actual or perceived HIV or Hepatitis C infection, medical condition (cancer or a record or history of cancer and genetic characteristics), marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy (including childbirth and related medical conditions), disability, veteran status, political ideology, social class (including caste/caste identity), taking or requesting statutorily protected leave, status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
To successfully perform this job, candidates must be able to satisfactorily fulfill each responsibility. The above job description represents the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described functions
