    Description
    :

    Duties:

    Direct the maintenance of street right of ways and medians including cleaning litter, mowing grass and trimming trees and shrubs.

    Inspect grounds and facilities for needed maintenance and repairs; plan and delegate work; review work in progress and correct deficiencies as necessary.

    Oversee maintenance of equipment; arrange equipment services with the city garage.

    Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment used; monitor use of appropriate supplies, tools and equipment; supervisor when other supplies are needed.

    Qualifications:

    Four(4)years of increasingly responsible experience in the construction, maintenance, and street right of ways, including one year of lead supervisory responsibility.

    Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in grounds maintenance, horticulture or a related field. Possession of, or ability to obtain an appropriate, valid driver's license.


    PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
