    We are seeking a talented Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to support the development, integration and analysis activities for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS), the centerpiece of the U.S.

    Army's modernization strategy for air and missile defense capability.

    This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.


    What You'll Do:

    • Support the integration team in debugging software, hardware, connectors, timing, and designs
    • Support system performance assessments and trade studies
    • Support the integration, test, verification and validation of the system and various subsystems, including ground system fire control algorithms, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code with C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments through the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS), Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL) Lab and actual flight tests

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
    • Proficient in C++, MATLAB
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
    • Must have DoD Security Clearance to start.
    • Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment

    Desired Skills:

    • Prior experience with Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)/IAMD modeling is a plus
    • PYTHON, FORTRAN experience is a plus
    • Prior experience with Kalman Filtering, coordinate transformations, and 6DoF simulation experience with radar is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo is a plus
    • Ability to occasionally travel for up to two weeks at a time to support flight tests
    • Current security clearance

    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
