    We are looking for both seasoned nurses and recent graduates (RN's & LPN's) for full-time and part-time positions. Training will be provided. Various shifts are available. This role is perfect for individuals who want to play a crucial role in supporting those dealing with addiction.

    The Danvers Treatment Center offers a medically supervised detox program that focuses on assisting both men and women by delivering round-the-clock nursing care to oversee an individual's withdrawal from alcohol and/or other substances and manage symptoms. As an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the Nurse (RN or LPN) delivers top-notch care, following medical guidelines. The nurse fosters a secure and therapeutic environment by interacting with patients in a caring and professional manner.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides personalized nursing care to patients based on best practices.
    • Evaluates patients for withdrawal symptoms using standardized assessment tools.
    • Monitors vital signs.
    • Engages in the creation, execution, assessment, and adjustment of treatment plans.
    • Offers group and individual education to patients on medication use, benefits, side effects, and other relevant information.
    • Administers medication according to established procedures to manage withdrawal symptoms.
    • Responsible for administering approved personal medications to patients.
    • Receives and transcribes orders for patient personal medications.
    • Collaborates and consults with other care team members regarding patients' conditions and requirements, when necessary.
    • Demonstrates professionalism and appropriateness in crisis scenarios.
    • Records essential information concisely, precisely, and comprehensively, adhering to established alcohol/drug protocols and any psychiatric/medical conditions.
    • Assists in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring patient safety is addressed.
    • Capable of offering empathetic support and guidance to individuals with substance use disorder.

    Qualifications:

    • Must hold a valid and current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License. Current CPR certification is mandatory.
    • Should demonstrate the ability to connect with individuals in substance use treatment with sensitivity, have an interest and readiness to work in a diverse environment, and share a dedication to customer service.
