- Prepare and provide a System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) that details the overall systems engineering management strategy and approach.
- Establish architectures for development activities, for developmental integration and test activities and for software build activities.
- Perform technology assessments, system upgrade analysis and testing, concept prototyping, product evaluations, and human/computer interface evaluations.
- Perform and/or coordinate system activities with other business applications where an interface has been or needs to be established to maintain/create the exchange of information between the business applications.
- Demonstrate the product(s) being proposed to meet the solution, both pre- and post-solution design.
- Design, develop, implement/deploy, configure, and conduct risk analysis and life cycle analysis for new software application deployment/development.
- Perform engineering analysis and assessment of proposed requirements changes.
- Create Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), design issues, and System Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) processes.
- Provide an integrated system architecture and designs to meet all system requirements, to include incorporation of appropriate DHS infrastructure components.
- Prepare and deliver solution design documentation as Service Design Package(s) to include: requirements, service design, and service lifecycle plan. Conduct assessments of engineering processes.
- Develop, review, and update process flow and description documentation for each of the technical and management processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise to identify and research emerging technologies relevant to the target solution design, and assess the potential usefulness in improving efficiency and/or reducing cost.
- Evaluate as-is architecture for Business, Application, Enterprise, and Infrastructure services. Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and recommend sound solutions to the Management Office.
- Analyze proposed improvements for application architectural impact and provide sound recommendations for change. Proactively advise regarding the strategic direction, solution options and design considerations.
- Oversee the architecture and coordinate design changes to account for security issues. Prepare, update and maintain architecture documentation, including Technology Insertion Packages as required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DHS/EOD Public Trust security clearance; active DHS EOD preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 10+ years designing and developing ERP solutions (SAP)
- 10+ years of extensive application experience including implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and report development.
