    Description

    About the position:

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Information Technology, the Systems Administrator will primarily be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of server hardware and software. This position will be responsible for managing our On Premise and Cloud server environments.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system hardware and software issues
    • Responsible for installation/deployment/upgrade/administration of VMware / Windows server environment
    • Provide administration and support for MS Exchange, Active Directory, SCCM, O365 and other tools
    • Manage VMware vCenter VCSA and physical ESXi hosts
    • Manage SAN including storage provisioning and management
    • Responsible for server backup/restore procedures utilizing VEEAM Backup and Recovery
    • Accurately forecast demand for storage, computing and network capacity, as well as proactively assist in the procurement of hardware and management tools
    • Proactively apply fixes and manage infrastructure support issues, avoiding impact to daily operational processing and development
    • Implement information security policies and procedures for the organization and regularly deploy system security patches to environment
    • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and related cost for each project request
    • Participate in the development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization, rationalization and modernization

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to lead and mentor colleagues and work in a team environment
    • Ability to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously as well as work in a customer-focused environment
    • Strong written and oral communication skills

    Preferences

    • Familiarity with Cisco UCS Blade server infrastructure, Fibre channel SANs and HPE Nimble Storage
    • Experience with VEEAM Backup and Recovery
    • Experience managing Windows File Servers and DFS
    • Familiarity with load balancers (Citrix NetScaler)
    • Experience supporting cloud services (Azure, AWS) a plus
    • Experience with networking and zone based firewall administration a plus
