    Job Summary

    We are seeking a registered nurse to join our team in the Infusion suite at Valley Regional Hospital. As a key member of our staff, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and contribute to a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Administer medications accurately based on patient age and clinical condition.
    • Develop and implement teaching plans tailored to individual learning needs, involving family members as appropriate.
    • Assist physicians with procedures and perform tasks requiring technical and manual skills.
    • Deliver treatments/infusions and provide services within the scope of licensure.
    • Accurately handle, record, and label specimens, demonstrating proper specimen care.
    • Respond promptly to emergency or distressful situations involving patients.
    • Ensure accurate documentation meets current standards, policies, and procedures, completed within a shift.
    • Perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) according to Clinical Laboratory's and unit policies.
    • Interpret waived test results and take appropriate action.

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field.
    • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification preferred, but onsite training available.
    • Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
    • Current AHA BLS certification.
