Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Conveyor/Automation Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining conveyor systems and automated equipment across production facilities. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and control systems will ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and optimize system performance. Duties
- Calibrate, and troubleshoot conveyor systems, sensors, and automated machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical components, and electrical controls to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), electrical circuits.
- Read and interpret system documentation for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct field service activities including repairs on-site at manufacturing facilities or customer locations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system diagnostics, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure compliance.
- Leave the clients facility cleaner than it was upon arrival.
- All this while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and sensors.
- Experience with industrial electrical work including low voltage.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and distributed control systems (DCS) a plus
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters, calipers, micrometers.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices within manufacturing or industrial settings; customer service skills are a plus for client-facing roles.
- Experience with calypso software or similar automation management tools is advantageous.
- Ability to handle work safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
