    We are actively seeking a results oriented Casthouse Manager to join our team at the Carthage Manufacturing facility. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly under the supervision of the Plant Manager.

    The Cast House Manager will serve as a single point of contact for Bonnell's casting needs, with a primary focus on quality processing and production efficiencies that will allow us to reduce scrap and increase production rates.

    The principal role of the Cast House Manager is to provide highly skilled technical expertise and knowledge for operating the Ingot area as well as the Aluminum Lithium Cast house. This position is responsible for developing and implementing advanced information management systems to ensure that critical process, recovery, and quality information is delivered to the process operators.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Ideal Candidate will:
    • Continually improving plant safety performance and aggressively investigating and correcting conditions which lead to accidents and incidents.
    • Collaborate with internal Manufacturing/Operations staff to inform, manage, and balance customer requests/needs with the Operational Capacity and Capability of the manufacturing plant.
    • Communicate, collaborate, and resolve issues involving Quality, manufacturing priorities within internal departments including Manufacturing/Operations, and Scheduling.
    • Analyze Order Input data, Forecasting Trends, Financial Data, Production Reports, and Capacity Plans data to proactively identify and resolve emerging or existing problems that may affect the Company's production/delivery commitment to our Customers.
    • Acts as an expert resource in the design and implementation of advanced quality systems.
    • Implement statistical process controls for all critical process variables as determined by quality.
    • Design and conduct tests to improve ingot quality, unit productivity, recovery, and surface quality.
    • Develop and implement corrective action plans to eliminate deficiencies.
    • Ability to operate a fork truck, cast metal, calculate heat, and charge a furnace.
    • A focus on fall protection, confined spaces, and Dross recovery.
    • Work closely with Metal Control/Purchasing utilize purchased alloys to lower cost and improve alloy mix.

    • Associates or Bachelor's level degree in design, engineering, technical engineering, operations, or a related field, preferred.
    • 3-5 years of technical and managerial experience in a melting, casting, and finishing operation, preferred.
