    Job Title:
    Controls Engineer


    Summary:


    As a Controls Engineer, you play a pivotal role in initiating control system designs based on written sequences of operation.

    Your primary responsibilities include designing intricate pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic piping diagrams, as well as creating electrical control panels. This role extends to designing programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) software. You will be actively involved in the tryout, debugging, and start-up support for control systems. Travel to plant sites may be required.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Engineer and design pneumatic piping diagrams.

    Engineer and design electrical wiring diagrams.

    Engineer and design hydraulic piping diagrams.

    Design electrical control panels.

    Design programmable logic controller (PLC) software.

    Design programmable human machine interface (HMI) software.

    Perform tryout, debugging, and provide start-up support for control systems.

    Offer technical support for the installation of tools and equipment.

    Provide technical support for training plant personnel.

    Travel to plant sites as required.


    Skills:
    Proficient with the application of programmable machine controls hardware and software.

    Proficient with the application of Servo drive hardware and software.

    Proficient in AutoCAD.

    Familiarity with basic electrical standards.

    Familiarity with basic safety standards.

    Capable of supervision.


    Education/Experience:
    Associate's Degree in a technical field.

    1-3 years of experience required.


    Knowledge of the latest automation control technology, including safety PLCs, Ethernet communication networks, variable frequency drives, HMIs, Fanuc robotics, and vision systems.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in stamping, working with presses, or a background in tool and die.

    High-level automation of stamp parts.

    Work on electrical HMIs and updating to prevent issues with dies.

    Hours:

    2nd Shift (2:00 pm-11 pm); Will start on 1st shift for the first month (6 am-3 pm).
