    Summary

    This position provides administrative and clinical support to outpatient program staff in coordination with the Director. This position will provide monthly supervision and training to clinical staff and will serve as a program liaison in the community.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    Clinical Responsibilities

    • This is a remote position but needs to be located in NC.
    • Provide oversight and consultation to community-based staff, ensuring their clinical adherence to approved models of care.
    • Provide appropriate, regular and timely supervision.
    • Provide 24/7 support to clinicians and serve as a backup clinician on-call for program clients.
    • Assist clinicians in crisis situations by aiding in their evaluation and development of a plan to reduce the likelihood of a recurrence.
    • Provide hands-on and face-to-face training for staff by attending, co-facilitating and monitoring the content and process of individual, family and group therapies.
    • In collaboration with the Director, assist in providing clinical training to program staff.
    • Review and provide feedback on staff's clinical documentation, including but not limited to: CCAs, CCA addendums, notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, assessments.
    • Support staff in exploring appropriate external referrals for step-down, lateral and higher level of care services.
    • Assist staff in interpreting the TOP and incorporating it into Treatment.
    • Assist staff in the community (CFTs, community meetings, etc.) when support is warranted.
    • May complete evaluations and maintain and/or manage a small caseload due to referral overflow, coverage and preserving clinical skills.

    Programmatic Responsibilities

    • Aid staff and Director in advocating for the youth and the program in various community settings including but not limited to schools, JCPC and JJTC. Also assist with providing training to the community when possible.
    • Responsible for securing funding contracts in relationship with the Director.
    • Work with Director to develop and implement a consistent clinical consultation system.
    • Work with Admissions and Director to supervise caseloads and referrals.
    • Discuss referral prospects with various referral sources and assist Admissions in obtaining required documentation for complete referral.
    • Assist in monitoring staff's utilization and developing Performance Enhancement Plans.
    • Co-facilitate qualitative and compliance peer reviews with Director.

    Program Specific Procedures and Professionalism

    • Maintain mileage log and send to Director for approval by the 7th of the next month.
    • Submit Business Credit Card Receipts with details to Director for approval by the 1st Thursday of the next month, staying within specified budget.
    • Complete all trainings on time, to include Relias.
    • Attend any required virtual calls or meetings.
    • Attend monthly staffings.
    • Attend quarterly staffings.
    • Complete all notes within Medicaid standards.
    • Provide 24-hour on-call support to clients and families and ensure that all methods of communication (i.e. phone voicemail, email) are reflective of emergency support contact information as required by program standards.
    • Obtain coverage when taking PTO during the weekday or when unavailable on weekends.
    • Maintain professionalism when handling client, parent, stakeholder and/or community concerns.
    • Engage in supervision with Director monthly and on an as-needed basis.
    • Other duties as assigned or specified by Director.

    Supervision Responsibilities:

    • Senior Clinician will provide clinical oversight to designated community-based staff.

    Core Competency: Supervisors

    Supervisors will complete 100% of direct reports evaluations on time (within 30 days of the effective date of evaluation) and will have no old evaluations outstanding to meet expectations. Supervisors that supervise second level reports will also need to have 85% of any indirect reports completed on time to meet expectations.

    • Measurement: Review of evaluations due during the review period and whether they were completed on time.

    Core Competency: Analytical Skills

    Therapist demonstrates an ability to review, interpret, and include client assessments in case conceptualization of treatment plan. Includes internal and external CCA's, PCPs, Medical Evaluations, and Psychological Testing.

    How will competency be measured? At hire review of staff member's first client admission for evidence that inclusion of collateral information is included in client assessment, progress notes, and treatment plan.     Requirements:

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Master's Degree in related human services field and two years post degree direct experience with child/adolescent mental health population.
    • Licensed in the state of North Carolina as either an LPC, LCSW or LMFT.
    • Minimum of one year supervisory/management experience preferred and must possess skill set to provide supervision and oversight.
    • Requires knowledge and the ability to practically implement mental health regulations.
    • Must be culturally sensitive to children and families and support cultural diversity throughout the program.
    • Requires effective communication, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, leadership and professionalism skills and abilities.
    • Must have basic computer and math skills.
    • Must have a valid North Carolina's Driver's License.
    • Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal, HCPR and driving checks.
    • Preference for Credentialed with Medicaid.

    • Employee must be able to operate a vehicle for job duties, and keep a valid NC drivers license with insurance.
    • The work environment will contain slight to moderate office-related noises. The employee is not exposed to extreme weather conditions, toxic fumes, or airborne particles.
    • The employee must occasionally travel to different locations in the course of work.
    • Physical functions which are considered essential to the satisfactory performance of the job include the following: public speaking, reading, typing, writing, using the telephone, driving, therapeutically restraining children and adolescents in crisis situations.
