    SUMMARY


    Assist the reliability team in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record keeping that is required to increase Westlake Pipe & Fittings plant productivity, assist in maintenance work preparations to improve work efficiencies, and increase plant performance.

    Responsible for maintaining production equipment availability and performance at satisfactory levels through the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities.

    Assure resources are available and adequate to complete these tasks. Preparation of reports, metrics, and other tracking tools will allow this employee to succeed.

    The Maintenance Planner will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company, and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

    This position will be based out of the Wichita Falls, Texas Plant.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    May include, but are not limited to, the following:


    • Liaison with individual Plants across the Pipe and Fittings Organization to ensure the Planning and Scheduling process is implemented in accordance with written policy.
    • Monitor and track Reliability and Planner / Scheduler training across WPF.
    • Travel to every Plant at least 1 time a Year to provide hands on support and training, as well as review new processes for implementation.
    • Develop and provide process Maps and Policies for the Planner Schedulers in WPF to include the following activities:
    • Maintain specification records for production equipment.
    • Enter all applicable supplier information into CMMS system.
    • Monitor data in CMMS system to ensure work orders are created for any work requiring labor time of 30 minutes or more.
    • Ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes associated with the work are accurately recorded in CMMS system.
    • Help to ensure appropriate root cause is captured within Work Orders prior to being closed.
    • Coordinate upcoming project needs and plans with Maintenance Superintendent.
    • Order parts necessary to complete the job planned and expedite parts if necessary to meet the priority placed on the work request.
    • Manage and schedule equipment Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities such as inspections, oil changes, lubrications, etc.
    • Plan all maintenance activities to be completed during scheduled production downtime under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent.
    • Communicate maintenance work schedule to operations and maintenance supervision. Gain alignment of schedule and ensure compliance.
    • Arrange and coordinate outside resources / services as needed.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and procure all sub-contractor assistance, rental equipment, and/or specialty tools necessary to execute the job planned.
    • Provide input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency.
    • Evaluate and analyze equipment history and predictive maintenance data and trends to assist in the anticipation of plant maintenance needs.
    • Responsible for notifying Maintenance Superintendent of any problems or issues with inventory, planning and scheduling.
    • Act as the Master CMMS Administrator for Pipe and Fittings, assisting Plants as needed up to and including onsite support.
    • Perform other related duties as designated by supervision.
    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


    • Requires a High School Diploma
    • Associates degree in technical field preferred
    • Teaching Experience helpful
    * - 7 years' experience in maintenance preferred

    • 2 years' experience in injection molding, extrusion, production, and/or manufacturing
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • Proficiency with Windows based software (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook) required
    • Experience with Fiix CMMS Software
    • General understanding of repair parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical equipment
    • Extensive knowledge and ability to plan and schedule maintenance activities
    • Experience with inventory management and labor and material planning
    • Ability to recognize opportunity for process improvement
    • Knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance repair preferred
    • Knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements preferred
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in a corporate environment
    • Ability to operate well in a team environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

    The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

    The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    This position has a transitioning work environment. Office/computer, manufacturing plant and outdoor environments are normal. The noise level in the plant environment is usually high, as normal for a manufacturing plant.

    Some of the work in the operating units may require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, fall protection, hard hats, etc.
