    Description

    Coastal California General Neurosurgeon Position:

    Ventura County Medical Center seeks a new Neurosurgical addition to our team to provide forward thinking, community centered, compassionate care to our patients in Ventura County. The candidate will be involved in both inpatient and outpatient care of spine, cranial and trauma cases, education to family medicine and surgical residents and call coverage.

    Highlights of Ventura County Medical Center:

    The stated mission of the Agency is to "Provide comprehensive, compassionate health care for our diverse community especially those facing barriers through an exceptional workforce, education, and forward-thinking leadership". The Health Care Agency maintains over 700 providers, 30 clinics and two hospitals. The principal hospital, Ventura County Medical Center, is a Level II Trauma Center, which has just undergone a major expansion with new OR's and ICU's. OR equipment includes Brain Lab, Loop X spinal navigation, as well as Zeiss Kinevo and Pentero microscopes. The Center provides strong inpatient support from Hospitalists, Trauma surgeons and USC affiliated medical residents. The medical center is located two miles from the beach.

    Qualifications:

    BC/BE Neurosurgeon with desire to provide full spectrum neurosurgical services

    Desire to teach residents and medical students

    California Medical license

    Compensation/Work-life balance:

    Competitive compensation

    Approximately 1 in 3-4 call with in-house resident coverage (pay per call)
