Job Title: GAIN Service Worker (GSW) at JVS SoCal

Description:

The GAIN Service Worker (GSW) plays a vital role in the GAIN Program by providing comprehensive case management to participants, guiding them towards financial independence and full-time employment.
They lead participants through the GAIN process, explaining the benefits of Welfare-to-Work activities and employment, and assisting in overcoming barriers to job search and employment.
The GSW maintains communication with participants through various channels, ensures goal achievement, and documents case management activities.

General GSW Job Responsibilities:

Provide clear program understanding and motivation to participants.
Act as a primary link between clients and program services.
Refer participants to suitable program components based on assessments.
Authorize supportive services per GAIN policy and monitor participant progress.
Comply with program policies and maintain accurate case records.

E2 Lite Duties:

Review lists and conduct meetings to track progress.
Update tracking tools and ensure timely actions are taken.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance Specialist and attend necessary training sessions.

GHVO Duties:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Attend county training sessions and conduct client outreach activities.

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional time management skills.
Detail-oriented with good follow-through and communication skills.
Team player with excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
Experience with underserved communities and MS Office.
Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
Pass criminal and background screenings.

Education/Certification/Licensure:

High School or GED required with at least three years of case management or employment service experience. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Job involves standing, sitting, computer operation, and occasional lifting. Travel and home visits are required. Reasonable accommodations available.
