    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Assist Principal in providing ample resources, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development for staff; utilize appropriate written feedback, in-person meetings, evaluation tools, and other formal mechanisms to hold staff accountable for academic outcomes, including benchmarks such as i-Ready, goals, and timelines for improvement.

    Assist the Principal in serving as curriculum and instructional leader of the school.


    Assist the Principal in the ordering of curriculum, furniture, technology, and other school supplies after reviewing this with the Regional Vice Presidents.


    Assist the Principal in promoting the mission, vision, and philosophy of the school and FORZA Education Management with parents, students, and staff.


    Assist the Principal in promoting academic progress, instructional effectiveness, special education compliance, parent satisfaction, and student enrollment at the school.


    Assist the Principal in holding regular, well-planned, meaningful staff meetings a minimum of once per month, and submit staff meeting agendas to the Regional Vice Presidents on a monthly basis.


    Maintain regular, summer office hours, attend parent information meetings regularly, actively recruit families for enrollment in the summer and during the school year, and does not hold down a full-time or part-time summer job.

    Must attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and sign all required documents. If unable to do so, the Principal must designate another qualified representative.


    Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of all curriculum materials, office supplies, books, desks, chairs, overheads, janitorial supplies, equipment, etc.

    Hold staff and students accountable for missing textbooks, damaged school property, lost equipment, etc. Charge replacement costs and invoice those responsible for lost or stolen items.

    Report directly to the Principal and Regional Vice Presidents any inquiry from the media, including newspaper, TV, radio, etc.

    Assist the Principal in holding fire, safety, tornado, lockdown, and other practice drills, in conjunction with District requirements.

    Assist in reviewing with staff the school's lockdown and safety policies at least annually, and provide blueprints, plans, etc.


    Assist the Principal in enforcing drop-off and dismissal traffic patterns with parents, staff, and transportation drivers to ensure student safety at all times.


    Report directly to the Principal all legal infractions that should be reported to appropriate law enforcement officials and the Regional Vice Presidents.


    Assist the Principal in reporting any and all suspected cases of child abuse or neglect immediately to appropriate law or children's services officials and the Regional Vice Presidents.


    Report retention concerns to the Regional Vice Presidents at least 30 days prior to the end of a school year.

    Attend all or most parent informational meetings


    Assist the Principal in holding the school theme program in high esteem as the theme of the academic program and ensure staff do the same.


    Assist the Principal in keeping the school in the State of Florida academic report card status of at least a "C" or higher annually.

    Two weeks off (10 business days) during schools' summer break, subject to approval by the Regional Vice Presidents.

    Read and understand all policies outlined in the staff handbook and student handbook/code of conduct.

    Other duties as assigned by the Principal or FORZA Education Management personnel.


    Daily Duties and responsibilities:
    Follow all prescribed Board policies faithfully

    Hold instructional staff accountable for high student achievement.

    Follow the prescribed staff dress code and enforce the dress code with staff.

    Assist the Principal in maintaining the building at acceptable levels of cleanliness.

    Take the lead role in student discipline.


    Adequately maintain all suspension and disciplinary records in student files; organize all appropriate forms, and meet with parents when necessary.

    Enforce student dress code/uniforms policy.


    Follow the student code of conduct and enforce student code of conduct policies, staff code of conduct policies, and disciplinary procedures among students and staff in consultation with the Principal.

    Report all incidents of serious nature to the Principal first.

    Follow the outlined transportation procedures in the Student Handbook

    Maintain student and staff confidentially at all times; refrain from "gossip"

    Assists the Principal in maintaining all keys, passwords, and any sensitive information pertaining to school security.


    Assist in the maintenance of the inventory of all issued computers, laptops, printers, copiers, and other equipment in a reasonable manner.

    Enforce all policies and procedures approved by FORZA Education Management and the Board of the school.


    Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:
    Prepare and publish via email the parent school newsletter weekly. Be sure to check accuracy, grammar, and punctuation with the Principal or designated personnel.


    Assist the Principal in reviewing teacher lesson plans AT LEAST BI-WEEKLY and provide written feedback on lesson plans to ensure that all teachers are following a curriculum map in each subject and teaching to State Standards.

    Review data and meet with grade-level teams for data chats at least bi-weekly.

    Maintain data from various benchmark testing used by the school such as iReady, etc.

    Hold all custodial staff accountable for general maintenance and cleanliness of the building by signing off weekly custodial checklists.

    Maintain substitute teacher list and be responsible for finding substitutes as needed by teachers.


    Minimum Required Qualifications:
    Master's degree preferred but not required to apply.

    Must be enrolled and active in a Master's degree program by the time of hire.

    Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a teacher.
