    As a Systems Administrator, you will be a reference point for all IT related queries from internal employees. You will play a pivotal role in responding to user needs in a timely manner, ensuring the optimal running of all systems, managing access to resources, as well as other technical duties. You must display good interpersonal skills as you will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels to listen to any technical needs, understand the problems and implement the solutions needed.

    This position is on-site at our HQ in Virginia Beach, VA.

    Key Objectives
    Objective #1: Provide employees with functional, reliable, and accessible tools to do their jobs:

    • Maintain the office Wi-Fi network and ensure network uptime does not fall below 99.5% availability.
    • Ensure the mean time to recover from each outage is consistently as short as possible, any outages are reported to the team, and the cause of any outage is documented.
    • Maintain, repair, or replace inventory as needed, including auditing annually.
    • Responsible for the purchase, installation, and life-cycle maintenance of PCs, servers and LAN network.


    Objective #2: Service employees with responsive, secure, and compliant support:

    • Ensure IT tickets are completed efficiently, accurately and on time.
    • Provide technical advice and support to help people use computer software and hardware effectively.
    • Perform all user and identity management following the principle of least privilege.


    Objective #2: Provide employees with self-service resources and troubleshooting documentation:

    • Create and update configuration documentation for members of the IT team to reference.
    • Create and update self-service documentation to allow end users to solve issues on their own without the need for intervention by the IT team.

    Specialized Experience

    • Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis.
    • Experience with Windows Server.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong problem-solving aptitude.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
    • Proficiency in the English language.
    • Work requires the ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
    • BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
