    Position Title: Early Head Start Teacher

    Reports To: Education Supervisor / Director of Operations

    Classification: Full Time / Full Year / Non-Exempt

    Status: Variable Salary

    Range: $ $22.00 per hour.

    Date: May 18, 2023

    Summary/Objective: Teacher for Early Head Start is responsible for providing instructional experiences for the preschool child for adequate development in the social, emotional, physical, and educational processes. Teacher will possess knowledge and understanding of early childhood development, develop appropriate goals and objectives, and collaborate with the Co-Teacher and plan together.

    Essential Functions: Daily Activities:

    • Plans activities that support progress of each individual child using the designated curriculum.
    • Assure that room arrangement meets the developmental needs of all children.
    • Maintain a safe and sanitary indoor and outdoor environment.
    • Implements effective classroom management strategies.
    • Plan outcomes, transitions in classroom, and implements activities for outdoor learning environment.
    • Other duties as assigned. Family Partnership

    Family Partnership:

    • Plans and implements transitions from Early Head Start to Head Start or other setting.
    • Works in partnership with the families, special education team, and management members in the development and implementation of the child's individual education plan.
    • Actively communicates with families to ensure every child's success. Screening and assessment results are shared with families, staff, and partners.
    • Confers with families; refer child and family concerns to appropriate partners and staff. Documentation

    Documentation:

    • Obtain all necessary permissions and documentation on each child.
    • Maintain individual child's online assessment profiles.
    • Utilize agency software to timely and accurately input data and generate reports used for tracking and follow-up.
    • Assess present level of development towards child learning outcomes/standards.
