    Description

    Scope of Role Includes:


    This role will be responsible for the execution of high-quality apparel by partnering very closely with factories on overseeing the entire life cycle of product development through production for all relevant categories.

    Nurturing strong partnerships and collaboration with cross-functional teams including Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Creative, and Operations to ensure the collection is developed, produced, and shipped on time with the utmost attention to detail and care according to Designer's aesthetic vision.

    Responsible for managing all aspects of the product development and production calendar, costing, and on-time delivery, as well as overseeing all phases of the production process.

    The creation and management of factory Time and Action Plans, WIP reports and Production deliverables directly with factories, and constant monitoring of production schedules in liaison with on-site Quality Control teams.

    Frequent liaison with 3rd party inspections and auditing for in-line and finished goods inspections.
    Cross-Functional collaboration with Vendors, Operations, and Logistics to ensure Purchase Orders are shipped on time.

    Cross-Functional collaboration with Merchandising and Planning to support launches, promotions, and various problem solving to help optimize revenue and customer experience.

    Supervising vendor sample and bulk capacities to ensure timely samples and production.
    Tracking and managing all Development Approvals, Fit samples, TOP's, and Seasonal Photoshoot samples

    Own root cause analysis of all Production related issues and CX quality related feedback and create strategies with QC teams and factories to improve on quality related issues: review TOP's in partnership with Technical Design, vendor and 3rd party inspection reports, make recommendations and implement solutions for improvement on future reorders.

    Supervising local and offshore vendors to ensure products are manufactured in a manner consistent with designer's vision and merchandising buy expectations.

    Troubleshooting challenges in Development Execution, Construction, and Fit in collaboration with Creative Design and Technical Design teams.
    Import and Domestic Costing .
    Partner with the Merchandising team and support them on market-buy products on supplier vetting, price negotiation, fitting process and fit assessment, wear testing , and QC process
    Partnership with Design and Fabric teams on Lab Dips, Strike-Offs, Trim Submits, and Raw Material Sourcing and Development approvals.
    Ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of apparel and accessories categories simultaneously.

    Clearly communicate development and production schedule and risks to leadership teams to ensure the department is tracking to meeting on-time deliverables.

    Ensure internal and external teams stay on calendar for all product related benchmarks.
    Verify that all Vendors are following Vendor Manual requirements and production SOP's.
    Regularly evaluate and measure vendors on their performance with a vendor scorecard. Make recommendations on vendor exits, additions, and make changes based on vendor performance and business needs, as needed.
    Evaluate all relevant documentation i.e. facility audits and certification is up to standard and up to date. Maintain Vendor NDA's, contract agreements and payment terms

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor's degree or relevant Fashion Degree.

    EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
    5 + years of experience in Production and Product Development in Menswear, preferably Suiting.
    Must have apparel production, garment construction and fabric knowledge and an understanding of apparel classification/duty and import requirements.
    Quarterly travel to China required
    Strong communication skills with timely follow through.

    Must have the ability to read and understand audits, inspection reports, tech packs, bill of materials and other related documents.

    Able to use critical thinking to evaluate information and create action plans to overcome obstacles.
    Knows Microsoft Suite (excel).
    Self-motivated and works well in a fast-paced environment.
    Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Design, Tech, and Production
    Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    Must be hands on with a willing and supportive attitude.
    Ability to travel weekly to DTLA studio
