**Environmental, Health & Safety Manager**
*Work Mode: Onsite*
**Location:** Hattiesburg, MS
**Opportunity**
The Facility Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for all facility-related environmental, health and safety requirements, including developing, maintaining, updating, and communicating all related company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory compliance, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements. The EHS Manager will be fundamental to guiding the facilitys EHS culture, strategic planning, and oversight of the EHS department.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Implement safety related capital projects, including evaluation, justification, capital approval preparation and follow-up.
2. Understand and communicate pertinent EHS government regulations, Kohler EHS standards and best practices to management and associates.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program using established goals and make recommendations and implement corrective action(s) based on industry standards and best practices.
4. Provides HSE leadership, training, and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all functional groups.
5. Works closely with Engineering and Facilities on special projects involving plant construction, equipment design, and hazardous assessments.
6. Lead Hattiesburg Team to coordinate injury prevention plans (IPP) ensuring the continuous improvement of safety in new or existing products, processes, and procedures.
7. Maintain all regulatory required programs, training, logs, records, and reports.
8. Participate in and mentor management through accident investigations, identifying root cause and creating and tracking corrective action plans through implementation, preventing future reoccurrence of injury.
9. Conduct risk and hazard analysis for critical positions. Maintain statistical analysis of associate accidents and injuries to target specific areas for Risk Assessment and Job Hazard Analysis.
10. Provide monthly safety reviews and targeted compliance audits. Present reports on compliance status and any corrective actions.
11. Lead and/or facilitate EHS Awareness Programs, EHS events and various safety related teams.
12. Implementation and organization of Kohler Safety Management System and Kohler Environmental Management System.
Work with Regional EHS and, where applicable, third-party insurance carriers to evaluate claims.
13. Manage all company, local, state, regional and federal environmental requirements for the facility.
14. Prepares regulatory agency submissions including but not limited to EPA Tier II, SARA 313, RCRA Biennial, OSHA Logs/reports.
15. Organize environmental records as mandated by state and federal agencies. Interpret regulations, as necessary.
16. Organize a central repository for all Environmental data to insure ease of use by all, and availability for future reference.
17. Audit environmental compliance practices and procedures.
18. Responsible for the coordination of environmental upset response and documentation.
19. Responsible for regulatory reporting to local, state, and federal agencies.
20. Responsible for implementing capital environmental projects.
**Skills/Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety or environmental-related field required.
Requires seven years leadership experience in an EHS role.
Must have at least 7 years of related experience In an EHS role within an industrial setting.
The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to function as a team leader, able to foster management and associate participation, have good interpersonal communication and computer skills.
