    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a talented and creative Senior Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the needs/preferences of our various educational and municipal facilities. The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for collaborating with the Project Coordinator/Manager and Design Lead to align on the project's overarching design vision, serving as the primary liaison for interior design within the project, and overseeing, guiding, and training a team of interior designers, fostering their professional growth and development.     Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; In-Office/Monday-Thursday; Work-From-Home/Friday

    Pay: Negotiable BOE + Bi-annual bonus opportunities + excellent benefits (This is a Direct Hire position)

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, requirements, and budget constraints
    • Effectively teach, mentor, and train a team of Interior Designers
    • Create design concepts and present them to clients for approval
    • Stay abreast of current trends by collaborating with vendors and industry leaders
    • Develop detailed plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings
    • Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting fixtures, and accessories
    • Coordinate with contractors and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation of designs
    • Participate in seminars, trade shows, conventions, and relevant organizations to stay up-to-speed on the latest best practices and techniques

    Skills + Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution; Registered Interior Designer preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years experience working in an Architectural firm
    • Leadership and mentoring skills
    • Must have knowledge of Revit, Adobe, Lumion, and Enscape software
    • Experience working in K-12 and higher educational facilities and municipal facilities is preferred
    • Strong working sense of space, order, form, and context
    • Ability to produce/develop a concept and work through and present multiple solutions
