HDD Drilling Supervisor
Job Description/Duties:
The HDD Drilling Supervisor responsibilities are to direct the laborers & Forman, maintain professionalism, interact with customers & pedestrians, do appropriate paperwork related to the job, etc. They will also be assisting with job walks, meeting with locators/city inspectors, determining the correct bore path or scope of work, etc… This person should take pride and responsibility to provide top quality construction services in both commercial and residential settings. This person should be dependable and work well with crews.
- Directing all crews for the day
- Answering & making calls from customers, crews, and inspectors
- Ensuring crews are wearing all required PPE
- Assist in resolving site issues with scope of work
- Assist in resolving site issues between employees
- Measuring and lining out the jobs
- Lining out jobs for Locators
- Drive safely and responsibly
- Picking up materials as needed
- Safely assist trucks/equipment in backing up as needed
- Coordinate work & decisions with Drill Manager & Owners
- Assist in getting crews out in the morning with all needed equipment
- Assist with training items
- Assist in disciplinary actions as needed
- Assist in meeting deadlines and production goals
- Identify locate marks or missing marks and report to office as needed
- Report any damages to office as needed
- Fill out any required paperwork/documentation as required
- Take pictures before, during, and after job completion each day
- Take pictures before work on any jobs walked out
- Assist with PO's/Vermeer parts/equipment as needed
- Coordinate DVIR's & other required paperwork with crews as needed
- Other related duties as required or assigned
Job Requirements:
- Must follow all safety procedures on the jobsite and report violations and incidents immediately to management
- Must be able to lift lbs. repetitively
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- Must have experience with locating, directional drill operation, 811, &/or right of way work ; Experience in management preferred
- Must have a strong understanding of underground boring operations
- Must be willing and able to drive trucks, trailers, and use/drive equipment
Note: This is a drug-free workplace
Compensation:
- Paid on a weekly basis
- Day Wage/Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
