    We have an exciting opportunity for an airborne platform level Mission Architect within the GA-ASI Mission Payloads & Exploitation group in Poway, CA.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reports to the Director of System Engineering and is responsible for the essential architecture and payload description for all new GA-ASI air and ground systems.
    • Develops architectures using radar, EW/EA, EOIR, Multi-Int, communications, radios, and broadband RF sensors to satisfy ConOp and Mission needs.
    • Serves as Chief Engineer for Mission Architectures and Technical Proposal lead for complex Integrated Systems.
    • Will work closely with aircraft and mission Business Development and stakeholders across the GA-ASI family of P&L centers.
    • Interface with program office to jointly communicate and sell fundamental aspects of the required system architecture and establish essential scope coverage in proposal efforts.
    • Interface with customers during program shaping, ConOps development, Mission Architecture definition, and requirements derivation activities.
    • Interface with other System Engineers to collaborate on trade studies, flow down System Architecture, Payload Selection, make/buy decisions, and requirements synthesis/allocation.

    Job Qualifications:
    • Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; eighteen or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, sixteen or more years of experience with a masters degree, or thirteen or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
    • Must have demonstrated experience developing mission architecture for airborne systems.
    • Must have hands-on experience with several of the following systems: Radar, ESM, EA, Counter Measures, RWR, EOIR, Maritime Operations, Military Radios, Communications Systems, Survivability Concepts, Airborne self-protection, PED, Software Exploitation Tools.
    • Must have very strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to build strong networks and be influential across functional boundaries.
    • Must have experience working with customers to shape requirements and influence procurements.
    • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to engage as technical lead in business development/capture activities.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD TS and SAP security clearances is required.

    Salary:$140,940 - $252,293
