    Three days onsite a week in Boston/ Needham

    1. Bachelors Degree required
    2. 5 plus years experience in financial services operations
    3. Must have portfolio accounting / reconciliation experience
    4. Any SQL experience highly preferred but not required
    5. Knowledge of Corporate Actions highly preferred
    6. Strong communication with banks to resolve discrepancies

    QUALIFICATIONS 1. A bachelors degree

    2.5 plus years of experience in the Financial Services industry

    1. Accounting, custody, and/or reconciliation experience
    2. Experience working with data in Excel
    3. SQL or Python knowledge is a plus

    . Deep understanding of accounting for fixed income and equity

    1. Baseline understanding of accounting for derivatives and synthetic exposures 8. Inquisitive and comfortable challenging the status-quo
    2. Demonstrated effective communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail

    JOB OVERVIEW

    Portfolio Accounting is responsible for the integrity of records, including reconciliation with our clients custodians, to ensure we can provide comprehensive, accurate and transparent information to the firm.? Accounting data serves as a foundational data source for our investors, clients, and infrastructure teams who support the firm. The Senior Portfolio Accounting Analyst on the Reconciliation Team is primarily responsible for research and resolution of reconciliation items between and our clients custodian banks, prime brokers, and accounting agents (banks). They possess a broad understanding of investment accounting and the drivers and root causes that lead to reconciliation differences. Attention to detail, and strong communication and investigation skills are essential to success.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Work closely with internal groups to identify and resolve open reconciliation items
    2. Identify break patterns and opportunities for process and control improvements 3. Use bank portals in the research of position, cash, and market value differences
    3. Maintain concise documentation and proper audit trail for in flight items
    4. Analyze bank data to improve the quality of the reconciliation results 6. Collaborate and provide guidance to outsourced team members on escalated issues or inquiries
