PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for assisting the electrical manager in electrical maintenance and repair of housing and campus buildings.
I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (What duties are required for the position to exist?
- Completion of work orders
- Assisting with campus and housing projects
- Preventative maintenance of campus buildings
- Communication with housing tenants
- Communication with various departments across campus
- Overseeing the preventative maintenance section of the electrical department
- Ability to listen well
- Cooperate well with fellow employees
- Communication
- Punctuality
- Problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Work with safety in mind
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Normal fitness for performance of responsibilities
- Ability to work on a ladder and lift in high places
- Ability to work in crawl spaces
- Work outdoors in cold winter weather.
- Work outdoors in the high heat summers.
- Work involves heights, crawl spaces, attics, and basements
QualificationsThis position is restricted to current SEBTS students and spouses of SEBTS students
