Our 180+ programs in over 100 locations improve the lives of a diverse cross section of New Yorkers. From homelessness prevention in Staten Island to supportive housing in the Bronx; from employment training in Manhattan to after school programs and college access in Brooklyn; from family shelter and support in Queens to increasing affordable housing across the city, CAMBA provides holistic services to help struggling New Yorkers stabilize their lives and become self-sufficient.
The Bergen-Saratoga is a supportive/affordable housing development located in the Ocean Hill/Brownsville section of Brooklyn developed by Dunn Development. Bergen Saratoga Apartments will provide affordable housing for low-income working families at 50% or 60% of Area Median Income along with 40 units set aside for formerly homeless individuals who are Population A (SPMI/NYNY III) eligible. These units will be master leased by the non-profit social services provider, CAMBA, Inc. CAMBA will provide on-site supportive services including case management and 24/7 front desk security services. Amenities include a community room with a kitchen, a library/computer room, a tenant garden, laundry and a children's play area. This project is a true public-private partnership with land contributed by the City of New York coupled with subsidies
Position: Security Guard
Reports To: Program Manager
Location: 331 Saratoga Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11233
What The Security Guard Does:
The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to: (1) Maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to ensure the order and security of people and property; (2) Detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules; (3) Maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved; (4) Protect employees, visitors, and clients; (5) Observe and report irregularities such as unusual behavior, property damage, fire hazards, etc.; and (6) Provide directions to visitors when requested.
