Oversees assigned revenue cycle functions including financial clearance charge capture billing coding denials customer service Manages revenue cycle resources using workload standard performance expectations Participates on Clinic-wide Emory Healthcare wide revenue cycle initiatives Participates in developing departmental goals objectives Meets with other staff members to discuss progress develop future courses of action Keeps abreast of all regulations standards that apply to billing collections monitors compliance regulatory agencies third party payers determines impact changes Interprets policies Communicates policy procedure changes staff Supervises staff manages employee performance Provides ongoing performance feedback addresses problems determines staffing needs interviews hires staff trains employees verifies competency identifies suggests ways develop skills Establishes departmental standards customer service ensure activities related collection patient accounts handled courteous professional manner Works supervisor formulate plan professional development Attends educational inservices appropriate Participates professional activities organizations maintain knowledge current trends practices developments Initiates revenue cycle impact studies clinic specialties consider business program development strategies Provides revenue cycle performance analyses explain variances develops implementation strategies solutions unfavorable variances Provides summary analysis revenue cycle performance assigned areas responsibility forums report found issues solutions initiated by position specific activities execute improvements
