    Job Title: Safety Specialist

    We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Robinson, an employee-owned company that prides itself on its manufacturing solutions and ownership culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
    • Develop and implement safety strategies aligned with organizational goals, consistently demonstrating a 'team first' approach in conducting training, audits, and inspections.
    • Investigate injuries from a root cause perspective, collaborating with EHS Manager and other Managers to offer recommendations for eliminating repetitive occurrences.
    • Prepare site-specific safety documents and manage safety-related questions from customer job sites, building mutually beneficial relationships centered on creating the safest work environment.
    • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives regarding safety policies and programs, tracking, monitoring, and reporting OSHA recordable injuries.

    Requirements

    • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
    • Five or more years of manufacturing safety experience, preferably in custom metal fabrication or construction assembly environments.
    • Mid-to-advanced level computer skills, including Microsoft Office and HRIS programs.
    • Excellent communication skills for interaction with multiple site groups, customers, vendors, and potential customers.
    • Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, facilitation of safety programs.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
    • OSHA 10 & 30 courses
    • Experience in a work environment with 600+ employees
