    Who Is Our Client:

    Our client is a premier full-service manufacturer's representative in the automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market. Their customers include Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Subaru, BMW, Mercedes, GM, Ford, FCA, and other global brands.

    For over 40 years, they have built exceptional supplier and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) relationships, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in annual sales. They pride themselves on exceptional sales performance, new product development, marketing, program management, and building long-term strategic relations within the auto industry.

    What You'll Do As The Director Of Sales:

    As the Director of Sales, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute a comprehensive sales strategy so that all current supplier products are optimally positioned, accepted, and ultimately sold through assigned accounts. You will develop account-specific sales goals and establish operating budgets to meet the agreed-upon goals for assigned customers. In addition, you will have to create strong relationships with senior management at assigned customers.

    Beyond exceeding sales objectives, you will hire, train, manage, and coach assigned Account Managers and Sales Engineers. Supporting the professional development of all team members will be critical in fulfilling long-term goals.

    As a critical member of the company's management team, you will collaborate with the Vice President of Sales and CEO in developing new supplier relationships that continually build the company's portfolio of new products that align with the needs and requirements of their OEM customer base.

    You Should Have:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is required.
    • 10-15 years of sales and sales management experience in the automotive industry is strongly desired.
    • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle required
    • Ability to work during weekends, evenings, and occasionally long hours.
    • Ability to travel out-of-town up to 20% of your time.
    As The Director Of Sales, You Will Be Responsible For:
    • Leading team to success, meet individual, group, and company goals
    • Developing trustworthy relationships with key personnel at assigned customers and our supplier partners
    • Planning and implementing a Large Account Management planning process (LAMP) for customers and suppliers
    • Supporting the forecasting process and reviewing all responsible accounts
    • Developing sales goals for all accounts
    • Reporting out to executive management and supplier partners
    • Directing the development of effective sales and marketing presentations
    • Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies
    • Hiring, training, managing, and coaching assigned Account Managers and Sales Engineers. Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
    • Collaborating with the executive management team to achieve company goals
    • Creating insightful sales reports for the team and their supplier partners
