  Who you are:   You demonstrate outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels, including non-legal teams. Your strong organizational abilities and attention to detail empower you to manage multiple agreements and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.   Analytical thinking is one of your core strengths. You excel at identifying legal risk, structuring practical solutions, and developing processes that help teams operate efficiently while staying compliant. You approach challenges with curiosity, sound judgment, and a business-oriented mindset.   Your background includes a JD from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar. You bring experience working in a high-volume legal environment, ideally supporting a General Counsel, along with strong knowledge of privacy laws, software licensing, SaaS, cloud offerings, and data commercialization models.   What you will do:   In short, you will help GS1 US protect its interests while enabling the business to move forward strategically and responsibly. Your efforts will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial agreements, managing legal risk, and supporting cross-functional initiatives across the organization.   Here are a few more details about the role (other duties may be assigned):   Lead Commercial Contract Review and Negotiation
You will review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, particularly those involving data commercialization, service arrangements, and complex contract structures, ensuring GS1 US assets and interests are protected.   Enable Business Through Practical Legal Guidance
You will partner closely with business stakeholders to explain legal considerations, propose solutions, and support the execution of commercial transactions in a way that balances risk and business objectives.   Support Cross-Functional Legal Needs
You will serve as a legal advisor to multiple business units, including marketing, event management, advisory services, and internal compliance initiatives related to privacy, AI, and other emerging areas.   Develop Policies, Workflows, and Training
You will help develop and operationalize policies, templates, and workflows that allow teams to move quickly while addressing key legal and regulatory risks.   Collaborate Within the Legal Department
