- Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician or EMT or Paramedic certification or a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Student currently enrolled in a nursing program or Two (2) years experience in an acute care setting.
- Minimum of one year experience of related work experience
- Medical terminology preferred
- Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures and ability to make accurate physical observations of patients.
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good knowledge of English language.
- Basic computer skills required
- Current BLS Certification from American Heart Association

Position Summary:
The Patient Care Technician reports to the Assistant Nurse Manager.
Under the direct supervision of Registered Nurse, performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
The PACU/Pre-op Technician will attach the patient to the monitor, apply the SCD's, utilize the Glucometer to measure glucose, perform EKG's as directed by the RN, Draw blood and start IV's, Urine dip stick, straight Foley catheter a patient.
Restocks inventories and supplies to keep supplies readily available.
Performs all the necessary responsibilities required to transport patients to and from various patient care areas and departments within the hospital to designated areas.
Responsible for clerical and secretarial duties as needed in the department.Position Qualification:
