- This Electrical Engineer position will support the Substation Design (TEEC) organization in the Transmission Services (T) business line.
- This Electrical Engineer will review, check, and design electrical drawings for electrical power substations; review and check electrical drawings for electrical facilities; conduct Station Service system analysis, and short circuit and Arc Flash studies.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or directly related engineering discipline.
- 6 months of experience and knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
- 6 months of experience in performing design or technical review of high voltage substation physical designs in at least one of the following disciplines: Protective Relay and Control, Metering/SCADA, or HV Outdoor Equipment. Experience should include new substations, capacity additions, line/position extensions, reliability/automation improvements, equipment relocations/replacements, maintenance, and as-builts.
- 6 months of experience working with professional engineering theory and techniques sufficient to provide technical leadership in the design of the physical components of substations.
- Knowledge of substation protection schemes.
- Knowledge of Remedial Action Scheme (RAS).
- Knowledge of substation SCADA design or construction
- 1 year of experience in the following:
- QA/QC for electrical substation projects.
- Short Circuit and Arc Flash Study.
- 1 year of experience with software programs to include:
- Easy Power for arc flash studies
- Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Pro
- MicroStation or AutoCAD
- 1 year of experience with File Structure System ProjectWise.
