    **Description**

    The Commercial Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating company commercial vehicles and delivering product accurately to customers. This individual will be a domicile driver who will be responsible delivering product across the Syracuse area and cross state lines into Pennsylvania.

    **Role and Responsibilities**

    Upon arriving at the truck, the performs a includes pre-trip inspection, load check, and daily dispatch inspection.

    Drive to any required locations assigned by Dispatch to pick up backhauls.

    Maintain understanding of invoicing and product return paperwork to accurately account for all products being delivered or returned.

    Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure continued business including customer service, problem solving, and de-escalation skills as well as presenting an approachable and friendly demeanor.

    Deliver products using a commercial vehicle, handcart, ramp, and other piece of equipment used to prompt, safe deliveries.

    Make proper judgement calls to ensure delivery of product is held with a high standard of integrity for exceptional quality.

    Communicate with Transportation Department Personnel using cellphone. ($25 monthly telephone allowance)

    Records mileage and delivery time daily.

    Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicles.

    **Qualifications and Education Requirements**

    High School diploma or GED.

    Clean CDL Class A license.

    Minimum of 1-2 years of prior delivery experience.

    Must have the ability to lift product weighing up to 100 lbs on a consistent basis.

    Required to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle and operate in a safe manner.

    Must be able to walk, bend, lift on a regular basis.

    **Preferred Skills**

    Previous food service experience a plus.
