    Job Description and Responsibilities:


    As an EHS Specialist at Neuralink, you will support the day-to-day functions of the EHS team for our California locations as well as other functions throughout the company.

    This will include continuously maintaining facility permits and registrations to comply with local, federal, and state regulations along with improving existing safety programs, training, processes, and operations.

    We are looking for a well-rounded, mechanically inclined team member who enjoys working on unique projects that will push them outside their comfort zone.

    Maintain an inventory of consumables (e.g.

    chemicals, PPE, and tools) and restock when neededWork with engineers and scientists to ensure their processes are safe and review new and existing chemicalsWork with external vendors to ensure the facility equipment (house vacuum, CDA, nitrogen, DI water, AWN, process chilled water, etc.)

    is well maintained and documented
    Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience within a health and safety role4+ years of handling, storing, safekeeping, and removing hazardous materials (acids, bases, solvents, etc.)EHS Certifications (


    ASP:
    Associate Safety Professional,


    CSP:
    Certified Safety Professional,


    CIH:
    Certified Industrial Hygienist) are preferredKnowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and requirements (stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, control, countermeasure (SPCC), and soil management)

    Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand and walk for 10+ hrs dailyAbility to climb stairsPreferred Qualifications:
    Prior experience in building facilities (HVAC, DI water, CDA, Nitrogen, Vacuum, exhaust) and wastewater treatment (AWN)


    Previous experience preparing hazardous waste, stormwater, and wastewater discharge reports is a plusFamiliar with setting up EHS programs and training such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Equipment Safety, Lockout/Tagout, Ergonomics, etc.

    Technical background knowledge of chemical interactions and handlingAnalyzed, developed, and implemented corrective actions to ensure safe working environmentsBachelors in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental-related discipline or equivalent industry experienceKnowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) and GLP (Good Lab Practices)Pay Transparency:

    Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:California base salary range: $106,904-$145,211 USDFor Full-Time Employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity.

    Guidance on salary for this role will be determined according to the level at which you enter the organization, with the ability to gain more over time as you contribute.
