    Job Summary:

    PPL is in search of a talented Technical Support Specialist to join its Information Technology team. The Technical Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support related to PPL's environment by responding to end-user questions, monitoring day-to-day operations, isolating problems, and identifying and implementing solutions. Provide installation and upgrades of hardware and software applications; maintain PPL's technical environment utilizing industry best practices and building solid and positive relationships with PPL staff.

    The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated technology experience, valid Microsoft certification, and at least 2 years of experience with Microsoft365 support of Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. The preferred candidate is a solid team member with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, customer service skills, and comfortable working with and supporting people from diverse backgrounds, identities, social-economic statuses, and experiences.

    **Responsibilities**

    Job Responsibilities:

    Provide technology-related customer service and professionalism in support of PPL's mission and culture. Respond to all levels of support tickets, including those requiring an in-depth understanding of PPL's technical environment. Perform maintenance and support functions for assigned technologies within PPL's infrastructure. Coordinate project efforts for technology upgrades or implementation projects; coordinate technology components of new building construction. Act as technology focal point for assigned PPL properties. Collaborate with other PPL technical resources; share knowledge with others and gain understanding from others, including full-time staff, work-study students, third-party support resources. Identify opportunities for improvement in processes within IT and PPL organizations. Understand security issues/concerns and educate end-users on how to protect the PPL technical environment. Maintain documentation of information systems, including site-specific systems and configurations. Perform work assignments at various PPL buildings and locations, as needed.

    This position is not directly responsible for staff supervision.

    **Qualifications**

    Minimum Requirements:

    Required three years of technology experience. Valid certification, Associate or Bachelor degree, preferred. Microsoft certification and/or 3 years of experience managing a Windows enterprise environment; willingness to work toward further certification. 2 years of experience with Microsoft365 support of Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Basic understanding of VMware; network monitoring and troubleshooting; information security; PC setup/configuration/troubleshooting/repair; Experience with Microsoft Azure and desktop imaging would be a plus. Solid teamwork and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and deal with conflicting priorities and time-sensitive issues. Ability to drive a motor vehicle; must have a current driver's license and proper auto insurance.
