    The Senior Accountant is responsible for successfully ensuring the financial accounts of LockNet meet the highest standards of integrity and will lead by example in accounting best practices and our Guiding Principles alignment. This position will lead the closing process for multiple systems, will be involved with the preparation of financial statements, and engage in a multitude of deadline-driven accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes while ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
    • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
    • Manage the elimination/reconciliation of intercompany activity and balances.
    • Review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and various other general ledger accounts and assist as backup in preparations as needed.
    • Lead the resolution of accounting discrepancies and irregularities and suggest ways to improve processes and productivity as needed.
    • Support other accounting staff through collaboration and as a subject matter expert in problem solving when presented with obstacles to meet deadlines and improve processes.
    • Assist internal and external audits to ensure compliance, as needed.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and standards.
    • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

    • Exhibit proficient knowledge of general accounting principles and practices and the basic application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology of accounting.
    • Successfully process financial documents and data in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in business acumen to effectively interact with department and client organizations.
    • Display strong organizational and stress management skills which help effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Demonstrate discretion and trust with confidential material.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
    • 5+ years of senior level accounting experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, plus a strong variety of experiences performing within other automated accounting programs and systems.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail.
