Position Overview:

The Demand Planner plays a key role in forecasting and planning the future demand for plant products or services. They are responsible for developing and maintaining models to predict short-term and long-term demand, taking into account various factors such as equipment capacity, cycle times, internal production qualifications, and production plans. Collaborating closely with different teams, including materials, customer service, project engineering, and program management, the Demand Planner ensures that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze data to detect trends in customer demand
• Develop forecasting models for future demand
• Work with cross-functional teams to synchronize production plans with demand forecasts
• Monitor internal product qualifications per equipment and adjust plans accordingly
• Communicate forecast updates and recommendations to stakeholders
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Maintain the BOM (bill of materials) database

Qualifications:

• An Associates Degree in a technical field is preferred
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes in an automotive supplier setting is a plus

Physical Requirements:
