    Job Description and Duties

    • The California Energy Commission is looking to fill two positions as Clean Transportation Specialists in the Contract Management and Oversight Unit of the PEVTI Branch within the Fuels and Transportation Division.
    • These specialists will be involved in the deployment of zero-emission vehicle infrastructure to support electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in California.
    • They will work on a variety of transportation projects with a significant budget allocation, contributing to the state's climate change and public health objectives.
    • Responsibilities include leading teams, conducting technical evaluations, managing grants and contracts, and collaborating with public and private partners.

    Under the supervision of the Program and Project Supervisor, the Clean Transportation Specialists will focus on developing and implementing alternative fuel vehicles, electric vehicle charging and fueling infrastructure, as well as workforce training and equity initiatives.

    The role involves working independently and as part of a team to address vehicle and infrastructure challenges, promote improved technologies, and support various projects through funding, technical assistance, and educational activities.

    Key tasks include managing grant agreements, ensuring project milestones are met, evaluating proposals, and establishing partnerships with different organizations in the industry and community.
