    **JOB OVERVIEW**

    Responsible for the growth of the Jack Wolfskin brand, culture, spirit of discovery and business in North America by providing mentorship, direction, leadership, and management to the organization. Responsible for all aspects of introducing, growing, and servicing the brand / business to new and existing North American customers and consumers.

    **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

    Oversight/Leadership

    Lead the yearly creation and execution of the JWNA strategic plan.

    Work closely with JW Headquarters in Germany to leverage global product and marketing assets while evaluating specific needs for the North American market.

    Contribute to the overall North American success as the leader of an incredible team.

    Lead across all functions within the organization to ensure implementation of process improvements that will provide efficient & effective day to day operation.

    Provide direction & prioritization for implementing strategies and initiatives to build customer & consumer confidence and to effectively position the brand in line with the Vision and Mission of Jack Wolfskin.

    Business Planning/Development

    Lead all aspects of the Jack Wolfskin business in North America.

    Lead & manage the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.

    Ensure effective quality execution of plan in all areas of responsibility.

    Lead the development of the business plan, including sales revenue, Opex and CTP targets, P&L, cash flows, as well as annual/quarterly/monthly Sales & Retailers programs, Marketing, and Operational plans.

    Lead all forecasting, demand planning, and S&OP efforts.

    Profitability

    Develop & manage the preparation of long and short-term P&L, including sales targets, opex, CTP, budgets and forecasts across all brands and product categories.

    Lead and manage the preparation of annual budget proposals and information for materials of responsibility.

    **TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)**

    Ability to create and contribute to a results-oriented environment.

    Strong organizational leadership skills with proven ability to lead, develop, build and motivate highly effective individuals and teams.

    In-depth knowledge of financial measures applicable to leading a fast growing business.

    Knowledge of distribution channels, big box/mass merchandisers, small stores and specialty retailers.

    The ability to work effectively across cultures as well as communicate and present to counterparts and management in North America, Europe and Asia.

    Experience working in a global matrixed environment strongly preferred.

    Proved leader with process and systems transformations.

    Ability to lead wholesale retail and e-commerce businesses.

    Results oriented a team player that can work effectively across the organization and be relentless in their pursuit of high quality results.

    Ability to think & manage complex issues at both the strategic and tactical level.

    Strong strategic business management skills (sharing strategy and driving execution) and decision making skills, including ability to provide guidance for appropriate analyses and willing to consider & weigh differing points of views.

    Strong diplomatic and influencing skills, consensus builder.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong business conceptual skills, analytical, and problem solving ability.

    Strong time management and organizational capacity.

    High level of initiative.

    Strong knowledge of International business and different cultural environments.

    **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

    Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance or a related field is required. MBA preferred.

    Minimum 10 years of progressive experience working in international companies.

    Minimum 3 years senior management experience managing operations, including P&L responsibility, with either a sales or marketing emphasis, preferably in sports or consumer products industry.

    Demonstrable accomplishments and proven track record in sports and/or premium branded consumer goods.

    Proven track record of leading growth in revenues and profits.

    Solid experience in sales, marketing. Ideally has some experience in operations.
