Description
The History Department within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences offers history courses to undergraduate students in a variety of different geographical areas and periods, taught by our thirteen faculty members. Our classes are writing and reading intensive with rigorous in-class discussions, and opportunities to participate in hands-on historical research, service-learning projects, and internships. Faculty and students appreciate the small class sizes and close relationships they develop. All of our history majors are required to engage in a senior capstone project, a 25-30 page paper based on primary source research and integration of secondary source materials. This rigorous endeavor provides students with the opportunity to learn about, and participate in, a focused area of history. The History Department is strongly committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational environment, in keeping with DUs full dedication to these same values.
Position Summary
The Department of History is looking to hire adjunct faculty in the following fields for academic year : modern Europe, modern Middle East, 19th and 20th century US, Latin America. All courses are taught at the undergraduate level and will take place across 3 academic quarters (Fall, Winter, and Spring).

While the Universitys administrative offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. Course Rate
The course rate for this position is $4,772 per four credit course.
