A Forge Planner is a professional planner who works in the manufacturing industry. The job of a Forge Planner is to plan and coordinate the production of forged metal parts.

The Planner is responsible for developing planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs, and regulations.

They are responsible for coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure a project is successful.

Must have strong analytical skills to successfully gather, analyze, and interpret data.
Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluation.

Good numerical and financial skills are a must, this includes having a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.

Must be able to analyze data, predict demand, and optimize production processes.

Ability to collaborate with various departments, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure timely delivery of products and minimize waste.

A bachelor's degree or a related engineering degree with 1-2 years of experience; or alternatively, an Associates (2-year) degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of manufacturing experience in a Forging, foundry, heat treatment facility.

Industry knowledge with close attention to detail with the ability to notice small changes in a process or product and/or to identify any inconsistencies in the process and ensure the quality of the product.

Experience with programs as Word, Excel, Power Point, and computer aided drafting software such as Solid Works.

The work environment is an industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to high temperatures and moderate noise levels. Hearing protection may be required during certain operations.
