JOB SUMMARY

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurology Team in Temple, Texas.

We are looking for a team player with a strong work history who is focused on providing high-quality care and can collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

The Nurse Practitioner in this role will deliver patient care in a specialty clinic and may focus on various medical specialties such as Neurology, Cardiology, Dermatology, or others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Assess patient's condition through physical examinations and medical histories.
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
Prescribe medical therapies and procedures.
Create comprehensive treatment plans based on patient assessments and evidence-based medicine.
Counsel patients on health management and medication.
Maintain detailed patient records and initiate referrals when needed.
Provide consultation services.
Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice.
Manage patients in various healthcare settings.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans and counsel patients effectively.
Interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Current RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas.
Basic Life Support certification.
Board certification as an APRN.

SCHEDULE- M-F 8-5 No call time No weekends

EDUCATION - Graduate of an Accredited Program
EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year

Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): within 30 days of hire or transfer
