Job description
A primary care practice in Silver Spring founded by its current physician owners over 30 years ago continues to grow There are currently six physicians and four Advanced Practice Providers.
Several providers have tenure exceeding 10 years.
Providers schedules are limited to seven hours per day to see patients, allowing the remainder of the day for paperwork and/or other administrative duties.
Job Summary for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including primary care and internal medicine.
This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Experience with telehealth services is highly desirable.Duties of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care.
Manage chronic conditions and provide education on family planning and infection control.
Assist in clinical trials as needed, ensuring adherence to protocols and patient safety.
Administer dermal fillers and other cosmetic procedures when applicable.
Provide telehealth consultations to enhance access to care for patients.
Maintain accurate electronic health records using eClinicalWorks software.
Participate in the dialyze process for patients requiring renal support.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications for the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Two years primary care experience preferred
Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
Knowledge of infection control practices and family planning methods.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
