    The Product Engineer will work with other engineers, mechanical drafters, and company personnel from other departments to define product specifications, develop conceptual and final design solutions, manage, and coordinate project activities, support existing product offerings, and perform testing/analysis of new and existing products.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    · Provide support as needed for internal personnel reviewing technical project equipment specifications and preparing project submittal packages

    · Assist with reviewing and approving hydraulic performance test and hydrostatic pressure test reports from the Test Lab

    · Assist with troubleshooting any problems encountered throughout the manufacturing process of pumps in production

    · Assist with troubleshooting any problems with pumping equipment encountered by the end user in the field (will not include on-site field services)

    · Provide internal technical product training for company personnel as needed

    · Assist with managing current product certifications such as UL, FM, and ANSI / NSF 61 & 372

    · Assist with obtaining new product certifications as required

    · Stay apprised of changes to general pump industry standards such as the Department of Energy (DOE) or the Hydraulic Institute (HI)

    · Work to improve existing product quality and performance

    · Design new components or product lines as required

    · Help manage pattern and machine drawings for all existing products

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    · Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

    · 2+ years minimum experience preferred

    · Advanced skill with SolidWorks 3D Modeling

    · Advanced skill with 2D AutoCad

    · Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite

    · Strong leadership and communications skills, both written and verbal

    · Excellent creative thinking and problem solving skills

    · Excellent attention to detail

    · Actively works to minimize complexity

    · Good organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

    · Working knowledge in SAP ERP Environmental preferred

    · Work effectively under pressure individually as well as part of a cross functional team among different facets of the organization

    · Knowledgeable of machining and fabrication processes and pumps

    · Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals

    · HVAC / Hydronic systems knowledge preferred
