    Sarasota, FL (Monday-Friday, Onsite)

    (This position is temporary with potential to convert to permanent staff in the future)

    The Organization

    We are a public liberal arts college offering over 50 undergraduate majors in sciences, humanities, and arts.

    Overview

    This position is responsible for managing the full cycle of staff recruitment, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and outreach to attract talented individuals. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated units, forming partnerships across HR functions to deliver value-added services reflecting the college's goals. While not having direct supervisory responsibilities, the role serves as a coach and mentor to supervisors and leaders.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct weekly meetings with business units and departments.
    • Provide HR guidance to line management.
    • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
    • Manage complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations.
    • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and partner with the legal department as needed.
    • Offer performance management guidance, coaching, and counseling.
    • Improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
    • Develop terms of offer letters for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
    • Assist in restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
    • Identify training needs and participate in monitoring training programs.
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for timely hires and long-term candidate networking.
    • Provide expertise in recruiting practices and streamline processes.
    • Conduct executive level searches and negotiate offers.
    • Implement initiatives supporting hiring goals and ensuring EEO compliance.
    • Develop advertising and social media recruitment strategies.
    • Plan and organize outreach efforts, including college recruitment.
    • Represent the college at recruiting events.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies, including Florida Sunshine, OFCCP, and AA/EEO.
    • Assist in new hire onboarding, I-9 verification, and system entry.
    • Coordinate first-day arrival procedures and communication with candidates and supervisors.
    • Manage employee terminations, exit interviews, and job postings.
    • Collaborate with Compensation/HR personnel on hiring processes.

    Qualifications

    • Masters degree in associated area with 1 year of related experience or Bachelors degree with 3 years of related experience.
    • 3+ years of successful employment recruiting experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of labor markets, recruiting practices, and social media recruitment tools.
    • Working knowledge of various HR disciplines and employment laws.
    • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google products.
