Job summary
This is an intermediate level technician position primarily responsible for general maintenance and preventive maintenance activities of our Oral Solid Dose clinical manufacturing equipment. This role will operate under limited direct supervision and charged with keeping the equipment within operational specifications and safe. The responsibilities include performing PM's, following written preventative maintenance procedures accurately completing maintenance paperwork including work orders and logbooks identifying opportunities for improving PM program recommending changes to PM program based on experience with equipment and analysis of historical data accepting ownership of selected equipment serving as point person for repairs/PM training fellow mechanics on technical details identifying critical spare parts executing repairs responding to customer requests alarm conditions assessing breakdowns systematically identifying problems restoring to operation accurately documenting repair activities supporting Quality Assurance investigations of breakdowns supervising contractors performing tasks within building ensuring that contractor employees follow Alkermes safety cGMP standards overseeing technical quality of work performed leading small projects such as facility/utility improvement projects developing scope estimates managing small projects to completion contributing to facility support activities such as office moves area reconfiguration spill cleanup etc.Tasks may vary according to company needs.
