Position Summary
The Title IX Case Manager and Education Specialist plays an important role in the College's response to sex and gender-based discrimination and harassment, splitting their time between Title IX case management with prevention programming and trainings for the campus. Relationship building and communication will be paramount.
When performing case intake and management, this position will work directly with individuals to provideguidance and consultation on rights, resources, and resolution options, as well as facilitate reasonable supportive measures. Primarily, the Title IX caseload will be comprised of reports of sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking, though other forms of sex and/or gender- based harassment and discrimination may also be assigned as needed.
This position will be responsible for leading the interpersonal violence prevention and training programming offered on campus with support from the Office of Student Involvement and student workers (such as the Dyson Wellness Center Peer Health Educators and Graduate Assistants) as appropriate. These programs will be offered to all members of campus, including students, staff, and faculty, and will vary in audience size from small student workshops to large auditoriums. Presentation and material development are necessary and public speaking will be frequent. There will be a dotted line reporting structure to the Executive Director of the Dyson Wellness Center.
While the primary responsibilities of this position will be dedicated to Title IX support, response, andprevention efforts, this position will be cross-trained to fulfill formal and informal resolution functions of Title IX cases as needed. Additionally, the Title IX Support and Education Specialist plays an important role in compliance efforts pursuant to all applicable state and federal statutes and regulations.
The position requires some evening and weekend on-call response, primarily via e-mail.
Description of Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct trauma-informed intake sessions with students, staff, and faculty who disclose incidents of sex or gender-based discrimination and/or harassment and facilitate access to campus and community resources.
2. Provides consultation, outreach, referrals, intake, case management, and detailed documentation for all reports of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct or retaliation under the Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Policy.
3. In consultation with the Title IX Coordinator, evaluates and determines appropriate remedies, interim measures, and reasonable academic adjustments for parties involved in Title IX reports.
4. Assists with evaluating and facilitating requests for informal resolution in response to Title IX reports, such as mediation and restorative resolution conferences.
5. Conduct, promote, and organize workshops, seminars, outreach programming, and training designed for campus members on a variety of Title IX related concepts.
6. Assists in the creating, preparing, and dissemination of educational and outreach materials for faculty, staff, and students regarding Title IX concepts, options, resources, and resolution processes for print and web-based materials.
7. Maintains knowledge of current state and federal laws, regulations, policies, and trends in the field of higher education related to Title IX through training and research. Assists in the College's compliance with various related reports and initiatives.
8. Serves on the Title IX Compliance Committee to support Title IX proceedings as needed and provide other logistical support necessary to conduct fundamentally fair, neutral, thorough, and timely investigations. Will receive and assist in training and ongoing development for the pool of investigators, advisors, informal facilitators, and hearing panelists/officers.
9. Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

5. Demonstrated organization, record-keeping, and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in the use of technology, including use of online case management systems, databases, word processing, spreadsheet, design, and presentation applications.
7. The ability to successfully and respectfully work with individuals from diverse personal and cultural backgrounds.
8. Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the College.

Education/Training
Bachelor's Degree required in a related field such as Higher EducationAdministration, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Communication, Gender Studies, Labor Relations, or Organizational Development. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
Direct service with individuals' who have experienced interpersonal violence required. Two or more years of experience conducting trauma-informed intake sessions highly preferred. Experience working with and protecting private and/or confidential information. Demonstrated history of program development and public speaking strongly preferred.
Licenses or Certifications
Prior Title IX training or certification highly valued. Training in mediation and/or restorative justice a plus. Certification from ICASA and/or ICADV helpful.
